First winner of 2010!

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

You’ve all been clicking away everyday to see your favourite act make an epic climb to the top of the chart. So much so, that your mouse is starting to look abit under the weather.

But, worry not, 1Click friend, your efforts have not gone unnoticed. We’ve counted up all the votes and here is where your contribution lies:

Sarah Duce – It’s a good start to the new year for our Pod Princess Sarah as she walks away with the top prize of a professional recording shoot with top production company Flynn. We spoke to Sarah and here is what she had to say: Sarah Duce

“I’ve had so much support from my family and friends so I would like to say a big thank you to all of them. I’ve had people voting for me in the Isle-of-Man, so it’s great to see the support. It’s a great start to the new year, thank you!”

Sarah came out in 2nd place last month, which already secured her a place in our 3rd and last Quarterfinal before we head into our Annual Final. So joining her will be the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place competitors of this month: Kkv91, Himandmetv and Hollie McKinlay.

These talented lot will be heading over to our Boot Camp in March where they will be given tips and training from our Star Coaches.

New Year, New Talent

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

“An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.”

Here, at 1Click2Fame towers we are forever the optimist. After an action-packed 2009, we are more than ready to make 2010 just as fun and entertaining for you, our lovely community. We were even more excited to see some brand-spanking new performances over the festive period and with only six places left for our 3rd Quarterfinal, we could potentially see some serious competition hotting up in the next couple of months.

We spotted some fantastic performances upon browsing through all the auditions and there were a few which caught our eyes (and ears) immediately. We’re all Michael Jackson fans here at 1Click so when 21-year-old Jack Martello uploaded his rendition of the classic “Billie Jean” we sat up and took notice straight away. We did for a second think that we were listening to the voice of an angel when we heard 12-year-old (yes, I said 12 years old) Poppy Mills, otherwise known as “The Angel of Music”. She is currently ploughing through the January charts, so expect to see more from her soon. Lauren Music93 says “Music is my life, performing is my world and the stage is my home.” With a voice like hers, we are certainly not going to argue. Her cover version of Leona Lewis’ “Run” is a reminder why this song gives us goosebumps and she definitely does it justice. Another competitor who caught our attention is Ryan Spendlove. His powerful voice blew us away and we’ve been playing his performance back constantly. We liked it so much that we even tweeted it! We were also pretty impressed with 3-piece band Cedarway. Their song “Sarah” gave us some good vibes in the office and made us all happy inside with a fun video to go with it.

See, we definitely weren’t lying when we said there was some tough competition ahead and we cannot wait to see it. January’s competition is now live! So, if you want to see any of these guys in the running for the grand prize of a professional video shoot and the Quarterfinal, then you need to get voting now. Or if you think you can do better, then why not upload a video and get a campaign going! You can see the current Auditions chart here.

Beardyman coaching session for 1Click2Fame winner!

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

This just in…one of our Quarterfinalists and Boot Camp attendees, beatboxer Ben Francis earlier won a session with a pro-coach as one of our weekly talent competition winners.  We found Ben at the Turning Point Festival which we sponsored earlier this year at the Roundhouse in Camden.  Also appearing at the Roundhouse was beatboxer supremo Beardyman.  So we approached Beardyman to ask if he’d give Ben a pro-coach session for his prize and Beardyman said Yes!  It’s set for the beginning of August at Lucky Voice and we’ll let you know how it goes.  Ben literally screamed down the phone with excitement when we told him (but to be honest, we’re equally excited too)!

1Click2Fame team on the road and filming our Quarterfinalists

Monday, June 29th, 2009

Tom and Ambreena are on the road this week, filming the stories of our Quarterfinalists who will soon be attending Boot Camp.

Last week, Euphoria Audio were the first to be filmed, and today and tomorrow we’re covering the north country – filming Alix Robb, The Joker, Louise Stokes and Daveyboyz.

Once we’ve filmed everyone, we’ll put them on the site and you’ll get to find out the highs and lows of all our Quarterfinalists and whether they’ve had a smooth path to success or one that’s been checkered with challenges.

You’ll be able to get to know the people behind their videos to help you choose who deserves to win £25,000 and – more importantly – a place in our annual £100,000 prize competition to follow Lucie Evans as our next big winner.

Think you’re a more deserving winner? Then upload your entry now for the next quarter’s competition and tell your fans to support you.   Know someone with talent?  Then tell them about 1click2fame and help them find fame.
