Perform at Camp Bestival with BRIT Class Act

No, we’re not kidding! You could be performing at Camp Bestival, courtesy of our friends at BRIT Class Act, this summer and here’s how…

BRIT Class actTo celebrate the school holidays, Rob da Bank has teamed up with BRIT Class Act, to offer the ultimate prize to all budding young musicians: the chance to play on stage at Camp Bestival.

The competition is open to school students under 19. All entrants need to do is upload a video of themselves performing an original song or a cover to the BRIT Class Act website. Rob da Bank and a team of judges will be on hand to pick the winning entry and that act plus their families will all win tickets to Camp Bestival, with the winning act playing live on stage!

Curator of Camp Bestival, Rob da Bank, is right behind the competition: “Morning mini-campers! Yep, da Bank and the Camp Bestival crew have joined forces with BRIT Class Act to give the young’uns the chance to show the adults who’s best. What better way to kick off your musical careers with a slot on a festival bill that includes Friendly Fires, Ellie Goulding, Tinie Tempah, Chipmunk and Annie Mac – I’ll be handpicking the band that pricks my ears up the most so make sure you get your cameras rollin’ and get your entries in now”.

The competition is the perfect warm up to BRIT Class Act’s big launch in September when they will begin their search for the UK’s best school act under 19. Kicking off with a national schools’ music chart, BRIT Class Act will be showcasing the best school acts across the UK each week and in January 2011 they will be crowning the best BRIT Class Act in the country with a special BRIT Class Act Award.

An Upgrade to Version Awesome!

1Click2Fame has come to a sudden halt!

We are currently not holding any competitions on the site at the moment, but wait, have no fear, as we are currently in planning for the roll out of our latest and greatest version of the competition, Version Awesome, which will be coming your way very very soon!

In the mean time, we will be bringing you all up-to-the-minute news, visits from our Star Coaches and features from YOU, yes you, our online community and not to mention the antics of the one and only, TomFoolery.

All you talented, lovely people can still upload your performances onto the site and begin to build your fanbase ready and armed for our next competition. And who knows, we might even get in touch with you to get involved in our special features on the site.

So watch this space! We will be making current updates constantly…a bit like this one…

KKV91 wows Westlife

1Click regular and Annual finalist KKV91 managed to wow the Westlife boys with her special birthday message to Shane.

KKV91, real name Kulpreet, uploaded her version of the Westlife track “I Want to Grow Old With You” especially for Shane’s birthday and to enter herself into a competition for the best birthday message received. After all of the entries they received, they separated the best from the rest and Kulpreet came out on top! She even managed to bag herself a signed t-shirt and a feature on the official site homepage, check it out!

Well done Kulpreet…you never disappoint!

Live and Kicking!

We are just about getting over the huge event that was The Annual Final 2010. The 12 finalists and other guests gathered for a night of live music and to hear who had won the most votes and walked away with the £100k prize.

It was a fun-packed night with Tom playing as host, performances from last year’s £100k winner, Lucie Evans, the Quarterfinal winners and of course, this year’s winner, Katem3.

The Annual Final 2010 Kicks Off!

It’s finally here!

We’ve had a long run of weekly, monthly, and quarterly competitions with over 2,000 competitors signing up to get to this stage…competing for the £100k prize.

For 12 months we’ve had 3 Quarterfinals and 3 Boot Camps with each competitor vying for the top prize. The 12 acts who you voted for are now battling it out and they need your help!

You have one week to vote. All votes are hidden and the chart page has now been randomised, so no one will know who has won until we reveal it at The Annual Final Party on Thursday 17th June…exciting times!

And so, we come to the end of our mini series of looking back over a year of 1Click2Fame.

We had some great times (as you’ll see in the videos) and we’re only preparing for much, much more now! Our Annual Final kicks off this Thursday and judging by the competitors in the running, it’s going to be a tough fight to the top spot and the £100k sponsorship prize!

Voting starts on Thursday and the winner will be announced at the “partaaaaay” we’re throwing to celebrate the second £100k winner.

1Click2Fame, 1 Year On: Events

As mentioned before, we have been celebrating our 1st Birthday!

It has been a fun-packed year and last week we took a look back over the highlights from all of our winners. This week, we thought we’d delve into our archives and look back at all of the events we were a part of. From last year’s Awards Party through to Festivals and the launch of our Pod, we’ve had some pretty fun times.

We’re about to add another one under our belt! The Annual Final kicks off soon and voting starts on the 10th June. We will be announcing the winner on the 17th of June at The 1Click2Fame Annual Final Party which will be held at Cafe 1001 in London.
