Tom's Vlog: Tiny Sheep and Six-Legged Cows

Friday, March 19th, 2010

So, some of you will have noticed that Tom’s Vlog has been missing for the last couple of weeks. Mainly because we’ve all been extremely busy working towards Boot Camp, Backstories and the 3rd Quarterfinal.

However, he’s back this week with a BIGGER, FUNNIER, MORE EXCITING* episode of his wondrous vlog. Today, Tom gives us a mini run down on all things Quarterfinal and takes a look at a lost lamb and malformed cows. (Where does he get this stuff from?!)

Anyway, check it and don’t forget to rate, comment, subscribe and the one that everyone forgets; favourite!

*It’s actually pretty much the same…

Just for the record. . .

Friday, March 12th, 2010

It’s Friday! So, we’re feeling a little silly here at the 1Click offices. (It’s allowed, because it’s Friday). Anyway, we stumbled across an article today which immediately caught our attention. Sleeveface is a book by Carl Morris and John Rostron where they tell us to “Be The Vinyl.”

The idea is that you pick any record sleeve you like and re-enact the image anyway you want to. There are some amazingly creative ones and one rule applies: NO PHOTOSHOP, or any other digital tweaking. You can take a look at some of these here, on their website, www.sleeveface.com. Our favourite has got to be this one! And, we couldn’t resist but to make our own as well. We raided the office and found this rare 1982 single by Neil Young, “Sample and Hold,” once edited by our very own Head of Music at 1Click2Fame, John Ingham.

Let us know if you come up with any crazy ideas!

True Belieber

Monday, March 8th, 2010

There are two things we love here at 1Click. That’s Twitter and Justin Bieber. “Why?” We hear you ask. We love tweeting! We tweet all day, every day about things that we’re doing and sometimes (most of the time) things that are completely irrelevant. And Justin, well it’s no wonder really, he became famous through the 1Click way! Justin began uploading his performance videos onto YouTube a couple of years ago and became a sensation! So, when the two combine, we just can’t contain our excitement.

Our video parody of the original “3 year old crying over Justin Bieber” caught Justin’s attention on Friday and he enjoyed it so much that he decided to tweet it! He even posted it on his Facebook. So, if you haven’t seen it yet then, WHY NOT?! Watch it now, at once!

Tom's Vlog: Giant Balls and Itchy Gramophones

Friday, February 19th, 2010

We’ve heard of some strange phobias in our time. “Pogonophobia” the fear of beards, “genuphobia” the fear of knees, or even the fear of long words, commonly known as “hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia” (seriously, google it!)

But have you ever heard of an irrational fear of balls? Neither had we until we watched Tom’s 6th Video Blog. He never ceases to amaze us!

This week Tom discusses the latest music to hit the charts from ‘Itchy Gramophone,’ how 3 household items can be combined to create a super product and maybe even give you a couple of new phobias to worry about (stay away from blankets and mirrors!) Confused? You will be!

Web site story

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

It’s that time again where we all gather round and take a little trip down memory lane. Remember when you were in Primary School and had ‘Carpet Time’ where your teacher would read you a nice story or make you watch old episodes of ‘Dr. Who’? Well, 1Click friend, think of this as our carpet time…well, it’s sort of a virtual carpet time but you get the idea.

We’ve had a rummage through our archives and came across this one. We received a text from T-Mobile back in May telling us to turn up at Trafalgar Square in London and after their brilliant “flashmob-like” advert, we had to see what all the fuss was about. With flipcam in hand, Thierry went to find out what was going down…

And so our countdown comes to an end. This last week has seen brilliant performances from Katem3 and Jack Martello, us interrogating the public and Tom looking at the pros and cons of having a valentine. And if you’re still struggling to think of a romantic gesture for your loved one then you can always rely on our trusted Chicken for a little help.

As today’s special Valentine’s Day treat, we thought we’d take a look back at some of the most iconic love scenes ever to bless our screens. Make sure to have a box of tissues ready, it’s going to be emotional!

2 days to go until Valentine’s Day! The big day is fast approaching and once again we thought we’d leave it up to the public to give us their take on all things romantic.

Annabel and Ambreena headed towards the bustling crowds of Oxford Circus to ask them what they look for in an ideal partner. Don’t forget to leave us a comment with your response!

1Click2Fame Valentine's Day Countdown: 4

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

4 days to go until Valentine’s Day! Everybody has a favourite love song. Whitney sang “I will always love you,” The Beatles said “All you need is love” and Rihanna told us we could stand under her “Umbrella.” All of these songs plus many, many more have left a lasting impression on us.

So we took to the streets of London to find out what the public’s favourite love songs are. Don’t forget to leave us a comment telling us which one your favourite is. This is ours.
